GrowSmart Maine Unveils New Website

Portland – GrowSmart Maine (GSM) is pleased to announce their new website,  Funded by a grant from the Old Bug Light Foundation, this new website will enable visitors to engage in discussions, find recent news and blog postings, utilize community planning toolkits as well as sign up for newsletters and advocacy alerts.  GSM worked closely with Mike Poliskey of, based in Portland, to create a user-friendly, robust and flexible site built upon the Drupal7 platform.  Staff can now update the website remotely from the field, whether it be from the halls of the State House in Augusta or literally from a field in an Aroostook County potato farm.  The site provides links to GSM's social media pages, coalition member pages and legislative sites, as well as a convenient and informative space for in-depth details on the projects we are working on such as Project Canopy and ReEnvisioning the Highway Strip.  Visitors can also become members by donating on our secure site.  GrowSmart Maine encourages folks to visit and comment on our blog, read a news article, sign up for our newsletter and drop us a line letting us know what you think.

GrowSmart Maine promotes sustainable prosperity for all Mainers by integrating working and natural landscape conservation, economic growth and community revitalization.

We promote Quality of Place by convening and engaging in public conversations about Maine’s future, contributing common sense policy analysis, educating the public, advocating for state and local change and supporting model practices.
