On November 15, 2021, President Biden signed into law the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) (PL 117-58). That law, passed by Congress, incorporated historic levels of investment towards our transportation system and infrastructure, including an additional $39 billion towards public transportation. This historic increase in transit funding has been one of the proudest accomplishments for the administration and Congress for improving transportation equity and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
